RETURN

Louviers, the Audresset factory

This work is the result of a commission by the Museum of Louviers for an exhibition mixing historical documents, technical elements and
manufactured goods from the Audresset mills.

Audresset was the last mill in the city, producing cashmere thread for the fashion design industry.

Not long after, the production was delocalized, leaving around forty workers out of their jobs; then the buildings burned, ruining all hopes
of return of the work.

A catalog (Portrait de la derniere filature de Louviers) was published by the Museum of Louviers.
